What is a housing cooperative?
A housing cooperative is a non-profit organization that builds or manages housing for its members. Residents are members: they buy shares but remain tenants (they do not own their housing).
Rents are calculated based on actual costs, so they are often lower than on the market. Members participate in the cooperative's decisions and management (assemblies, votes).
The objective is to guarantee quality, stable, and affordable housing, with a community and solidarity spirit.
The project in a few words:
This housing cooperative project is located in the village of Burtigny, near the main street, and benefits from an unobstructed view of the fields and the Lake Geneva landscape.
It involves the construction of about ten housing units, spread over two levels + attic.
Future residents will have the opportunity to participate from the early stages in the design of their home, to adapt it to their needs while ensuring the architectural harmony of the whole. Common areas will complete the project, promoting a balance between private and collective life. Cooperators will thus be invited to embark on a true common adventure and contribute to the creation of a sustainable, unique living space in harmony with the village's identity.
A partnership with the Municipality provides for the development of nearby parking and connection to district heating, powered by an ecological energy source. The architecture will favor the use of local, sustainable, and low-environmental impact materials, in connection with the region's forest and agricultural resources.

The amount will be defined according to the living area.
