Situation

The town of Leuk sits on a south-facing hillside, at a point that marks a slight bend in the Rhone Valley, visible as far as Martigny.

of "Natural Park" at the national level. In this forest is the monument commemorating the battle of Finges.

Whether in the bed of the Rhône (not channeled), the Bois de Finges or the dry meadows and cliffs of the hillside,

Leuk is an important nesting site for birds and a center for bird watching.
